How to get from 0 to 15

Solgen was the new era of solar and represented the merger of two solar companies, Marks Group and Solgen. This merger was well planned over 12 months with a web developer working on the brand new presence that was going to revolutionise the industry.

Their previous developer took 9 months to deliver what was an absolute disaster; ugly, not mobile responsive with no thought into how best to strategically handle the merge of two brands. The site was also a technical abomination.

Solgen were in dire straits with the launch of this site they were expecting to get the same amount of leads as both companies put together – around 15 a day. After the site launch the leads dropped to 0.

Click Click Media were called in initially for a diagnosis and repair, a complete relationship breakdown had occurred within the Solgen marketing team. It was walking into a shit-storm with 12 people around a board table and obviously frustrated executive team.

Solgen asked Click Click Media for a ‘techinical repair’ – this was not an option as the site was not worth saving – Solgen was attached to the exorbanent investment they had made with their previous web developer and Click Click Media was about to bin the lot and start again. This was a shock to Solgen as our fee’s for the full project were a tenth of the comparative quotes they got for ‘just a fix’.

From 1 week after engagement Click Click Media provided a brand new custom web presence, fixed the SEO mistakes and handled the domain mergers correctly. This project was a true test for the Click Click Media team as there simply was not enough time to get feedback and approvals during this week, it was do or die.

The site was delivered, the SEO fixes were implemented and within 2 days of launch the leads all returned. Click Click Media is now running a national online advertising campaign for Solgen and is held on retainer working on some really cool and innovative ideas their marketing team have, which is where their marketing team’s time is best spent.

Rustic Plumbing Solutions is a husband and wife business and they approached Click Click Media with a rather ordinary website and big online aspirations. Initially Click Click Media had to council the client as the Emergency Plumbing industry attracts cost per clicks of around $50 and a new brand entering this market is going to get a lot of pushback from competitors.

First step – a new website. Now when looking at the modern designs produced as concepts from Click Click Media the client gave full approval for Click Click Media to go ahead and build a ‘sectioned’ design style website, but the Click Click Media team halted production on this after spending some time thinking about the industry as a whole.
While the project and website was beautiful. It looked like a ‘new’ business. Which potentially could have put off prospective clients. After launching the website and rebuilding his old Google AdWords campaign – success. An unprecedented amount of jobs booked.Furthering this Click Click Media took the learnings from sending traffic to the website to develop a series of landing pages that often convert at 50%. We used this strategy to then expand the business into serving not only Sydney, but the Central Coast and Newcastle. Rustic Plumbing has now expanded the business into Melbourne.

Aussie Outdoor Living had been running for a couple of years, the strategy for their online presence essentially was the same as every competitor out there. The biggest complaint they had (apart from having to wait to get out of a contract with their current digital marketing provider) was that the enquiries they were getting were low value.

The owner explained to Click Click Media that his passion is to ‘make outdoor spaces beautiful’ but the enquiries he was getting were for stratco carports. Not only that the prospects he would go and see would take his recommendations and designs and load them into hi-pages, shopping on price, not quality.

Click Click Media’s strategy team wanted to try and idea they had – instead of the website promoting ‘gable roof’, ‘flat roof’, ‘aluminium pergola’ etc – they promote ‘outdoor entertaining’, ‘ poolside living’, ‘indoor / outdoor room’ and highlight the lifestyle improvements that the Aussie Outdoor Living brand could provide.

First, a landing page that promoted their services in this way and within the first month enquiries started rolling in for ‘full custom outdoor areas’ – it helped that Click Click Media specifically targeted areas that had a high household income and high percentage of home ownership.

After proving that this would work Click Click Media took the learnings from the landing page to redevelop the main website and start SEO work.
Within 6 months of completing this exercise Click Click Media achieved national rank 1 keywords for keywords that were already proven to work from the Google AdWords campaign that was running.
